Course Description

Our world today is interconnected more than ever, networks are all around us these day. There is all sort of media, information, application, games, and business being delivered through vast network grids.

Our technical course will take you deep within the core of the network protocol, analyzing bits & bytes of each various networking protocols, how they work together to form communication.

We will provide you with a hands-on experience in analyzing network traffic using Wireshark software, and learn systematically how to differentiate good HTTP, FTP, TCP, or UDP traffic and suspicious or bad network traffic.

  • Wireshark, world’s foremost network protocol analyzer, how it works, how to customize it, and how to make it works for you
  • Network traffic capture methods, traffic sniffer placement in wired environment and wireless environment
  • Analyzing TCP/IP traffic, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, Telnet, etc.
  • TCP slow start, ARP poisoning, DNS hijack, receive window analysis, network latency impact, and many more
  • Case study, analysis challenge on various network trace such as facebook hack, network performance problem, and network attack
